Another episdoe of Symptoms log! Yea! So that’s me wearing a tank top and sporting a lovely little bruise! Woot Woot! This is from my Anemia caused by my Thyroid disorder. This happens when you are low Ferritn, also masquerading around as Iron. I used to get bruises really, really easy until I started adding more Iron into my diet and taking a supplement. I remember waking up one morning with a doosy of a bruise on my leg. Unsure as to how I got it. I went through the normal process of figuring it out when it dawned on me. It was from my hubby cuddling with me at night! Since adding in Iron to my diet this bruising has lessened. Glad I don’t wear those glasses anymore. They are hideous! :-)

Headaches seem to be rampant this week so I thought I would add it to the symptoms log. I typically have a headache when I have my dose of thyroid medicine changed. It usually last a day or two and then it goes away. They are intense though and not any fun. I feel as if someone has hit the back of my head with a baseball bat and gave the Nelson Ha-Ha afterward. I also seem to have a headache problem when I start to hold my jaw closed. I am usually doing this without knowing it and once I realize it is is too late and the headache has started. Unfortunately this headache cannot by saved by a large dose of aspirin. It just needs to run it’s course.

Has anyone had the same results? Anyone else clench their jaw together? Almost like TMJ?

Star date: 1.27.2010

I thought I would start a little symptoms log. Some of these posts will be stuff I suffer from myself or what others have told me they suffer from. Feel free to send me your symptoms and I will write about them!

Let’s start off with the grand poopa – being tired.

This one is TERRIBLE. We aren’t talking about running around all day and doing tons of things tiredness. We are talking about waking up taking a shower and needing to take a 3 hour nap after that. Sometimes at the end of the day I felt I had spent all day on a hamster wheel when all I did was go to work and sit at a desk. There are many facets of this tiredness – mental, physical and muscle. I will talk about those in upcoming posts of the Symptoms Log.

In the meantime, feel free to comment about tiredness in general. If you need some motivation (which I KNOW we all do) here is a question: What day do you remember being the most tired? What was it like, how did you get through it? Were you able to sleep it off?

Ok – that was more than one question – but you get the point.
