I still have a few more things to do. I want to add mulch and maybe get a few more plants. I did not think it was going to get so cold so fast! I was hoping for a little bit more time. But mother nature has others plans for me. I just need to get my fishys out of the pond now before they become fishicles!

Today is the 2nd time in my life I have come out of a movie Theater to find a storm. The first time was during the movie a Perfect Storm and my city received about 14 inches of rain. I new the special effects in the movie were too good to be true! Today was the second. My sister and I came out of a “girly” movie staring McDreamy and we walk into a beautiful sun-shower. Not a big deal until we got in the car just in time not to be pellted in the head with hail. I have been stuck in a car before during downwinds but never hail. I felt my ears were going to start bleeding any second or the windows in the car were going to break., However, we made it home ok. Luckily I only live 5 minutes from the theater.

It hailed for about 10 minutes and once it was over we accessed the damage. Below are the pictures.

This is the front garden a few minutes ago it looked like a glass of coca-cola with crushed ice.

It completely shredded our cover for our fire pit.

A handful of them. Hard to believe such little pellets can shred nice things!

Whew! The rocks we planted last weekend are still fine! We are lucky!

As I look outside most of it hasn’t even melted yet and has been on the ground for about 45 minutes now. However, it isn’t the Perfect Storm!

Hubby is also finally done with Grapic Design school and boy am I glad! He worked hard and has done some wonderful designs. We are both glad that it is over!

We have created a punch list for the home improvement items that need to be around the house. So we are full steam ahead on that. Also, my sister and my mom are coming over to help plant the front yard garden this Saturday. I cannot wait to have this done – I feel like I have been waiting forever to have a nice garden in the front yard. I will post pictures of our progess.

It has been a long time since I posted. A few things on me:

I did finish my whole month of going to the gym. Now I am concentrating on going 3 days a week. So far, a loss of 4 lbs has occurred. I wish it were more – but once summer comes I will be outside doing things everyday!

Life has been busy and I just love my job lately. It has been busy enough for the days to fly by. Meanwhile, laundry is a mile high and I don’t feel like doing to much at home. Little by little. It got really warm the past few days and I am glad! Spring is just around the corner! Snow will show up again though – Such is life in Minnesota in March!

Just got back from Vegas and what happened in Vegas didn’t stay there. I got sick on the plane on the way there I think. However, it didn’t manifest itself until the day I left Vegas. The two people I went with have yet to get sick, lucky them.

DH and I have decided to finish the housework all at once and be done with it. It will cost some $ but it is better than wishing I had all the stuff done. I will be working extra catering hours to help pay the bills for the renovations, but for me it is well worth it. That means when I am not working – I can sit on my deck with a nice drinky drink and enjoy the summer!

Book club selection for this month was “The Gathering” by Anne Enright. I will be honest I didn’t get the book much less look for it. I was so busy the month of March I didn’t have time. I am going on Thursday anyway in order to socialize and pick up the book for April.

Yep, lazy Saturday here in our house. Well, no to lazy – we have cleaning to do. At least we aren’t rushed like when I had my weekend job. So, we can be somewhat lazy today. It is really nice that I don’t have to work on the weekends now. I do have plans to get some extra money – I want to redo the driveway and get the rest of the kitchen stuff done. I have one other project I need to get done before the end of Fall. I want to do the front garden. We resided the house a few years ago and ripped out all the plant life around the house. I just didn’t want it anymore – plus I wanted to put my touch on the yard. I helped my sister move and do some things around her house – so she will be helping me this fall. I am excited to get started. We will probably start next weekend.

Although it is somewhat lazy this Saturday – our minds are alive with ideas. :-)
