<blockquote><p>So, tonight I went to dinner with some great friends. At the beginning of the year we made kind of a pact to meet every so often and have dinner. Our first dinner was early January and it was freezing cold! We meet at the Macaroni Grill and talked for about 3 hours. It was a wonderful time and we all planned to meet again soon. That time was tonight. We met at the Mall of America and had dinner at the Twin Cities Grill. I had 1/2 chicken that was marinated in Rosemary and Garlic with a side salad to start. It was delish! I choose to try to add some carbs in and had some bread and french fries with my meal.</p></blockquote>
<p>So &#8211; I intended this post to be out LAST Wed night. But I got distracted and couldn&#8217;t post it. I must of seen something shiny. I have no idea what distracted me. But anyway here it is. I had just come off my week with no carbs or sugar and was feeling great! On Thursday I went back to eating all the bad things. I felt fine for awhile but by Sunday night I wanted some light food and my Club Soda to drink. As of today 3.28.11 I have chosen again not to add by the soda or carbs. I am going to give my body so time to heal and not fill it full of nasty stuff. Today again was hard. But I know as time passes it will get easier. I did it once I can do it again. So &#8211; really no Winnner-Winner Chicken dinner today. But back on Thursday it was! ;-)</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">I know, I was bad. I planned on Blogging everyday this week and I failed. I have been so busy with work, working out and socializing that I haven’t gotten to do very much blogging. I promise that going forward I will make more of an effort. Life tends to get in the way.</p>
<p>My social calendar has filled up. I consider it a good thing. But not when you have a 2 day test to study for and working out. I am excited to go do things with people and I think it is very important. It’s just, right now, I wanna be a hermit and get some things done. I came home last night expecting to record a podcast (my weekly one with weight management information) and ended up having to fill out some paperwork that needs to get somewhere soon (that’s a story for another day…). October already is filling with events as well.</p>
<p>Working out this week has been good. I joined a coworker on Monday to attend a kickboxing class which was a ton of fun and I burned 700 calories in an hour. We are going to continue to do that next week and do a cycling class on Wednesday together. I am going to only attend the gym in the morning during the month of October. I am starting to stress a little bit about this test. I need to pass this thing this year. I can retake it in May – but I don’t want to give up. This is really important to me – can you tell?</p>
<p>Due to my busy life I haven’t recorded my foods either. That is not good. I need to try to slow down and take the time to do that. So, this coming month –I am going to slow down, study, and record my food and workouts.</p>
<p>ONE GOOD THING that has happened so far this week is that I have managed to take my vitamins every meal except one. I can tell a huge difference in how I feel! I am going to finish out the week strong and take them during the weekend. It will be a challenge because I typically let this stuff lag during the weekends. I am also going to try to record my foods this also I  let lag during the weekends. It&#8217;s go big or go home time.</p>
<p>I hope that you all have a good weekend and I will continue to keep you updated on my weight loss progress. </p>
<p>FYI – As of Monday the 20<sup>th</sup> my weight was 185.2. There I said it. It’s on the internet now.</p>

<p>My plan is to embarass myself by posting a picture. Which you will find below. I needed a starting point and a shocker to myself to give me motivation to continue. I got that and then some!  YUCK &#8211; here it is..</p>

<p>I had a fantastic day at the gym and in terms of my food. I burnt 500 calories in the AM doing weights and riding the bike. Then I went back at night with a friend and did a Kickboxing Jam class and burnt another 700. No way I could eat that many calories in a day so now I have a surplus of calories. I may need those over the weekend though and Wed. we are going out to dinner with friends.</p>
<p>I am doing this to make myself accountable so that I can focus on the task at hand weight loss. And really &#8211; to get over myself. I am so worried about my body and the weight gain I needed to put myself out there to try to bust through.</p>
<p>Heading to sleep &#8211; I have to get up in the AM.</p>

I have decided to get back on this bandwagon that I seem to kinda fall off of every now and then. I have been doing ok in food recording &#8211; but not so much in the types of food I eat. Time to change. Starting tomorrow I will blog almost everyday regarding my workouts and food items. Don&#8217;t worry the blogs won&#8217;t be boring! I promise!</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">I have been very busy with glasses for the IAAP CAP exam in early November. I have had a full social calendar and I am done talking to people! LOL! I am looking forward to a &#8220;me&#8221; filled week with workouts, reading and fake test taking. I am working on having all the laundry washed, dried and put away so that I can focus on those things listed above all week. I hope by Friday I can have a good report.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">
<p style="text-align: left;">My new meds seem to be working swimmingly! I have had no problems as a result of dropping them down. I feel better, more awake and more energized! Finally feeling a little normal. This week I am planning on concentrating on taking my vitamins. I have them organized for the week in a weekly planner. Nothing like feeling OLD! I have them separated into 3 daily doses and have reminded myself to have them with a little fat. My hubby is upstairs right now mixing Guacamole for the week. I never liked it before but when my SIL made it one time it was delish! I now have her recipe and plan on making a small batch weekly. I have grilled chicken, mixed veggies for lunch and a Shakeology protein shake for breakfast. It will be my first time trying that too!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Well, I just wanted to touch base and I will be posting a little bit more this week with my weight loss efforts. I plan on kicking my own butt!!</p>

It was a friends b-day today and last night I made a chocolate cake to help him celebrate. I figured it would be a good after lunch treat. Oh BOY was it good. :-) I tried to be good the rest of the day and not eat any snacks. But I didn&#8217;t feel the need to snack in the afternoon &#8211; I wonder if the oil and fat in the cake had anything to do with that? But oh well here are my stats for today:</p>
<p>AM Workout: NONE</p>
<p>Breakfast: Hashbrowns &amp; bacon Calories 287 &#8211; I am a sucker for Hashbrowns. YUM!</p>
<p>Lunch: Turkey wrap with lettuce, tomato, cheese, olives and soda Oh &#8211; and CAKE! Calories 731</p>
<p>PM workout: C25K wk 2, day 2 &amp; weight  lifting, Elliptical 20 minutes Calories Burnt: 536</p>
<p>Dinner &#8211; chicken breast 4 oz, French Fries 14 count, soda  360</p>
<p>Food Calories: 1,378</p>
<p>Exercise Calories: 536</p>
<p>Net Calories: 842</p>
<p>I am under my calories for this day by: 281</p>
<p>I am under my calories for the week by 905.</p>
<p>I might have enough to enjoy the weekend with. What do you think? I am still going to continue my routine and finish out the week. I would hate to get relaxed and end up using all my calories in one day.</p>

So here is my food for yesterday the 1st of March. I start with a base of 1,122 calories for the day. This based off how much weight I want to lose by a particular time. This is supposed to give me a good weight loss of 2lbs per week. Hopefully!</p>
<p>AM Workout: Eliptical Calories burnt: 308</p>
<p>Breakfast: Bagel sandwith (wheat bagel, egg, bacon, cheese) Calories 379</p>
<p>Lunch: Chicken breast 4 oz, White rice, Broccoli- cooked, soda Calories 392</p>
<p>PM workout: C25K wk 2, day 1 &amp; weight  lifting Calories Burnt: 227</p>
<p>Dinner &#8211; Soup Chicken Noodle, Saltine Crackers, soda Calories 355</p>
<p>Food Calories: 1,291</p>
<p>Exercise Calories: 536</p>
<p>Net Calories: 755</p>
<p>I am under my calories for this day by: 367</p>
<p>I could of eaten so much more last night! But I usually try to save extra calories for the weekend. It gives me a break from having to monitor it all the time.</p>
<p>I am sure this format might change. But for the first post it could probably work.</p>
