Some say Love it is a flower and you…
10 May
Last weekend hubby and I heading over to the University of Minnesota Arboretum to check out some plants that we might want in the garden this year. It is the perfect place to look at all the varieties of plants that can grow in our area. We had a nice time – I took some photos that day most of which are below. Enjoy!
First there were the lovely Tulips! I did at one time have these in my garden when we first moved into the house. I think I will plant more this fall – they are beautiful especially when in a group!
I think this is another version of the Tulips. Since it is spring this is really the only thing in bloom right now – still the trip was worth it.
I wish I could plant a ton of trees on our property. These are Crab Apples, they look lovely now – but tend to lose all their flowers by summer. We had one of these in the yard and we pulled it out for that reason. If it flowered like this all the time I would replant one in a heartbeat. Every year I get jealous of my neighbors because most of them have a form of this tree. But by the end of June my jealousy is gone right with the Crab Apple flowers!
