Quick get a crow bar!

Yet another thyroid symptom has manifested itself and I really don’t like this one. I am now suffering from what I think is TMJ. Oh the joy!!! I awoke Saturday AM after a wonderful Friday night of beer and good company – only to have my jaw clenched shut – I immediately panicked. Would I ever get it back open? What am I gonna eat? There is no way in hell hubby was gonna grind up all my food for me. I explained to my hubby that I was having problems with my jaw- that I couldn’t open it. He asked me to open my mouth so that he could see. Low and behold in true “yes, dear mechanic my car really was making that noise” fashion my mouth sprung open and I could move my lower jaw. Once I closed my mouth again it locked. I took some ibuprofen and after about 1 hour I could move my jaw freely. But it still scared me. I went about my day and thought it must of been all the laughing I did last night. My muscles were sore. I wrote it off only to wake Sunday morning with the same problem. Luckily the ibuprofen worked like a charm again. However, I can’t take ibuprofen everyday – or can I? I am dreading waking up in the am to have me jaw clenched shut again. My SIL told me it was due to stress. Gee what stress would a thyroid patient have?? DUH! no wonder my jaw won’t open. I am going to go sing a fire camp song and try to relax now.
Have a good night!
