to bring you news on the thyroid!

Wikipedia Definition is as follows:
Hypothyroidism is the disease state in humans and animals caused by insufficient production of thyroid hormone by the thyroid gland. It affects about 5% of the United Kingdom population over 60 years of age. As of 2006, more than 1% of the United Kingdom population were receiving T4 (Thyroxine) replacement therapy for hypothyroidism.[1]
However, it fails to mention ALL the negatives that go along with being hypo. In short, it sucks being Hypothyroid. Not everyone believes you when you say you can’t get up in the morning. And I hate every “Suzy Sunshine” that says she just jumps out of bed every morning excited to start her day. She makes me want to punch her in the throat. Especially now with Winter starting here in Minnesota. It is dark earlier in the day and it is still dark when you wake up. Just this AM it took me a good 45 minutes past my alarm to get out of bed and once I did it took me forever to get dressed – because I couldn’t believe I had slept that long. Right now as I type this, it is WAY past my bedtime. It is said that people with Hypothyroidism should get a good amount of rest. I should of been to bed by 10 and now it is 11:38 PM. So, I can pretty much tell you my day tomorrow is going be full of Huh’s? and what’d you say’s?
Lovely! I can’t wait!
I better get to bed
TTFN!
I just realized that the Wikipedia definition isn’t that great. I thought I would add another one:
